ON FRIDAY February 1 Beath High was lucky to host Doug Allan to talk to S1 and S2 pupils as well as S3 Geographers and Higher Photographers.

As a wildlife cameraman, he has worked with the likes of David Attenborough, capturing memorable images and videos of killer whales, polar bears and penguins, many of which he shared with the pupils who were in awe.

He spoke of his love of the north and south poles as well as the impact that human activity is having on the animals’ existence.

Doug also encouraged the pupils to follow their passions when choosing their path in life and ensure that they are protecting the planet as “failure is not an option”.
