PUPILS at Benarty Primary School have been doing their bit for the local foodbank.
Last week kids from the school handed over 189.5kgs of food items which they had collected over a relatively short period of time.
One of the volunteers at the Crosshill Centre based Benarty Foodbank, Stephen Nardone, along with Dunfermline Foodbank co-ordinator, Jonny Astill, visited the school to collect the items.
He was delighted with the contribution: "The youngsters and their colleagues did a brilliant job collecting the great many items and we are always requiring supplies as the demand remains steady.
"We would warmly thank them for their efforts."
