THERE are separate plans to open new restaurants in Lochgelly and Cardenden.
Majinder Singh, of Paisley, has asked Fife Council for permission to change the use of the shop at 49 Main Street, Lochgelly.
The proposals include an extraction flue.
And in Cardenden, there are plans to change the use of the old TSB branch at 171 Station Road for a new restaurant or cafe.
The bank building is now vacant and Sava Estates Ltd, of the village, submitted the application.
A statement on their behalf said: “This small development will afford the opportunity for this unit to provide a service to the local community.
"Whilst seating will be limited it will nonetheless offer a quality venue both to those wishing to use the premises as café and those availing themselves of the takeaway facility.”
