PICTURED is little Pearl Murphy, the winner of the Central Fife Times Bonny Baby competition for 2018.
Pearl, from Main Street, Hill of Beath, faced tough opposition from over 60 youngsters looking to win the £300 first prize.
It was a close run thing but in the final analysis Pearl, who will be two in May, polled just enough votes to take the title.
Mum Megan and dad Steven warmly thanked everyone who backed Pearl.
Said Megan: "We hoped that Pearl had a good chance but the day that the results came out it was still a bit of a surprise to hear that she had won and we would like to thank all our family, friends and colleagues who supported her.
"I would especially like to thank my colleagues at the Lacor hairdressing salon, in Kelty, where I work, they were brilliant at drumming up support for Pearl."
The prize money is going into Pearl's saving's account.
