LOCHORE man John McIvor is delighted with the early sales of his new book 'The Secret of The Crystal Mace'.

John is currently in England promoting 'The Secret of the Crystal Mace' which was published a few days before Christmas.

He was born in Ballingry, went to St Kenneth's Primary School, and moved to Lochore when he was 12. He formerly worked in Rosyth Dockyard.

As for the book you can see or buy it on Amazon, Waterstones, and Foyles websites etc, and also in some shops.

Said John: "The book, since the launch, is doing very well, and has been in the media, radio etc, and there is a large marketing company in London promoting it.

"I feel it's an unbelievable story, believe me and I am so proud of it. It will be a huge film one day, I believe".

He added: "There is a lot of information in the foreword explaining how the book accidentally came into being in the first place, along with an inspirational author's note aimed at people being bullied at school, cyberbullied or at work, with the national bullying helpline number inserted. Chapter 18 is entitled 'The Bully".

John added: "I was one of eight children and I was able to use all my brothers and sisters' names in the books as characters and my mother and father, who have passed on, are a teacher and doctor in the book.

"Oh! and the follow up book is entitled 'The Return of BAddagro,' who is a huge evil character from the first book".

Concluded John: "I have the second book following in around a year but I am currently in England doing some promotion work on the Secret of the Crystal Mace and enjoying it immensely."
