THE weather forecast for tonight is for quite a severe frost so Cowden are taking no chances and the covers are down to protect the Central Park pitch for tomorrow night's Scottish Cup tie with Rangers.

Fans and directors helped the ground staff put the covers down and everyone is confident they will do the job and ensure that televised game goes ahead.

The weather forecast suggests that the temperature will fall to minus 3 tonight but the covers are able to deal with anything up to minus 6 and during tomorrow it is expected that there will be some rain with the daytime temperature billed at plus 4.

So everything is set for the big fourth round tie with Rangers manager Steven Gerrard having suggested today that new signings Jermain Defoe and Steve Davies will make their debuts.
