WITH colder weather predicted for the end of the week Cowdenbeath are taking no chances with their big live television William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round tie scheduled for Friday night and will be putting the club's frost sheets down on the pitch on Wednesday afternoon.

They are hoping that fans can help the groundstaff get the sheets down to ensure that the frost predicted for Wednesday and Thursday nights does not get through to the pitch.

Said club director David Allan: "As everyone knows, the big match at Central Park this week is the William Hill Scottish Cup tie at Central Park on Friday night kick off 7.45.

"We have naturally been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and in light of this it has been decided that the pitch covers will be put down to protect the pitch against frost.

"We are therefore asking for as many volunteers as possible to come along and assist us with this task at 1pm on Wednesday afternoon. Grateful thanks to all those able to help the club with this vital task".
