PART of the M90 is set to close on Sunday January 20 from 22:00 until 06:30 on Monday January 21 for planned forestry works at Blairadam Forest, near Kelty.

Forest Enterprise Scotland has been granted full closure of the M90 between Junction 4 and 5 to allow for controlled felling of trees in the area close to the motorway.

Travellers on the motorway will follow a temporary diversion through Kelty while the works take place.

Andrew Clark, area visitor services manager at Forest Enterprise Scotland, said: “This work forms part of our ongoing forest maintenance and will minimise any future disruptions for travellers on the M90.

"Once complete, the forest will offer a more varied greenspace and improve the overall visitor experience.”
