CROSSGATES Primary School had an Inn-joyable Christmas nativity that left parents with tears in their eyes.

Nearly 100 pupils from P1, P2 and P3 came together for two shows packed with humour and festive fun.

'The Inn-Spectors' was the "perfect way to end the year on a high", according to P1/2 teacher Mandy Paterson.

"The story was about inspectors visiting inns in Bethlehem, before discovering Mary and Joseph in the stable.

"They were appalled that this is where the baby was going to stay, but realising what an amazing moment it was, they passed the inspection.

"The parents were really impressed and thought it was an amazing nativity.

"Every pupil had a part to play and none of them opted out from doing it. They all loved it.

"They had a lot of energy, dancing and singing, and it really was a great experience for all of them.

There was one song that one girl and one boy from P2 performed. It was so beautiful and a few parents were a bit teary-eyed. It was special."
