SANTA Benarty guarantees that all children in the four villages will have a gift to look forward to on Tuesday.

The 2018 Santa Benarty Christmas Appeal was launched in November and the volunteers have been astounded by the support they have received.

Santa Benarty went along to BRAG, where the Appeal is based, on Tuesday morning to help wrap up presents.

The Appeal is about ensuring that every child in Glencraig, Crosshill, Lochore and Ballingry will have presents to wake up to on Christmas morning.

Co-ordinator of the Santa Benarty Christmas Appeal is Hannah Kinnaird who said: "Unfortunately the fact is that circumstances can mean that children may not have a present to enjoy on Christmas day and our aim is to ensure that does not happen in Benarty.

"With the help of council sources we can make sure that children who could fall into that category gets a present.

"And can I say we have been overwhelmed with presents, and will be helping roughly 200 children get a gift from Santa! We are also including selection boxes and small gifts for the kids to give to their parents too!"

Added Hannah: "Theres been too many volunteers to count and we’ve had a really successful appeal!

"Benarty Kids Community Club would like to thank every single person who has volunteered, donated gifts or money, shared our post on social media and just made this appeal the great success it has been! And an extra thank-you to the Benarty Events Group for their very generous cash donation".

The gifts will be distributed over the next few days.
