COMMUNITY organisations in Cardenden have benefitted from some festive support from a local business.

Members of the Cardenden Community Development Forum and Carden Grove Residents Committee were presented with a cheque from Cardenden business "Camilla Training Aspects".

Angela Mitchell, from the Development Forum, and Angie Roy from the Residents Group along with Ward Councillor Linda Erskine were at the presentation.

Jim Hamilton from Camilla handed over the cheque to the members and Dave Roy, vice chair of the Development Forum said: "This is a very kind gesture from Jim and all at Camilla and the money will be used to fund a nearby project which will definitely enhance the area".

The groups are made up with volunteers and they will be delighted by this donation.

Camilla also made donations to LoveOliver and Rachel House charities and both were delighted to be beack by the Cardenden organisation.

A spokesperson for LoveOliver said: "We are so grateful to Camilla Training for choosing to support LoveOliver.

"Their fantastic donation is going towards providing luxury Christmas Dinners for families facing childhood cancer this Christmas.

"This is such a special project for us and we are so appreciative of this contribution. It’s always great and so encouraging when local companies get behind LoveOliver in the way Camilla has done this Christmas.”

A representative of CHAS said: "We are thrilled to be one of the chosen charities to benefit from the generous donations of Camilla Training Aspects Ltd. "The £500 will be put to good use this Christmas helping us provide much needed care and support at Rachel House for families who need us. The selection boxes will also go down a treat with the children and I’m sure a few of the adults too! Thank you to all at Camila for their incredible support at his special time of year.”
