SANTA Benarty, in association with OBB Builders, Lochgelly, will be out and about on the streets of the four villages this week delivering selection boxes to children on the run up to Christmas.

It started off on Monday at 5.30pm through to Friday, depending on volunteers to the help ensure the sleigh gets going around the streets.

The Benarty Fundraisers are making the event happen and hoping that they have enough volunteers to make all the calls they want to.

Meanwhile the momentum is building up for Splash for Cash on Tuesday January 1 and Lochore Meadows Country Park.

Said the Fundraisers James Fotheringham: "Splash For Cash is getting a lot of groups and businesses laying the gauntlet down to each other.

"So far we have Mirror Mirror, Lochore Welfare FC, Lochore Co-op, Lochore Castle FC and Baynes the Bakers wanting to take part.

"We would now like to see more individuals coming forward looking for a sponsor sheet to take part. It is always a great event."

Added James: "This year we would like to ask that everyone make a special effort for our local food bank at the Crosshill Centre after Christmas and gather in any food items they don't need and and bring it along to Splash For Cash on New Year's day at Lochore Meadows 12 noon where the food bank volunteers will be happy to take your donations".
