LOOKING back to times gone-by the Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly Past and Present calendars are now for sale and all profits go to next year's galas in the two towns.

The calendars are being produced by local history guru and founder of the Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly Past and Present pages, Derek Johnstone.

Lochgelly calendars are available from the Co-op, the Minto Lounge (Bank Street) and Macaris Cafe (Auchterderran Road).

Cowdenbeath's are available from Beath Bargain Store, Hallmark and the Co-op - Dalbeath Crescent.

Said Derek: "These calendars have some really good quality photographs in them looking at the history of both towns and remember that the sale of these will boost the gala funds in both towns.

"These are priced at £10 and remember they would make great Christmas presents, especially for family members who live outwith the area now.

"Also the profits all go towards the gala days in Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly."

The Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath Past and Present pages celebrate five years of existence in the weeks coming up and Derek plans to mark it with some special items.
