A LOCHGELLY woman who assaulted her cousin has been placed on a restriction of liberty order.
Amanda McKenna, 31, of North Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
She had previously admitted that on March 13, at Station Road, Cowdenbeath, she assaulted a woman by repeatedly punching her on the head, seizing her on the body and struggling violently with her, to her injury.
Defence solicitor, Alexander Flett, said the victim was McKenna's cousin.
He told the Court: "Miss McKenna had told that the complainer had threatened other family members of her's and she intervened on their behalf".
Sheriff Chris Shead placed McKenna on a restriction of liberty order requiring her to stay at her home address between 8pm and 8am for four months.
