BENARTY Arts Club members are holding their annual exhibition in Lochgelly Centre running until the end of December.

The club is a self-founding group, which provides opportunities for people from Benarty and outlying areas to get involved in visual arts.

There are 49 works of art on display, including paintings of our club's member Elizabeth McMahon, who was one of the winners of the Shell exhibition recently held in Lochgelly Centre.

Said Art Club secretary Violet Fotheringham: "The members of the club have enjoyed working on the paintings throughout the year and I must say that the exhibition is very impressive and certainly worth coming to see.

"We have tutor run classes every Monday afternoon, in Benarty Community Centre.

"The club was successful this year in receiving a grant to help with the running costs and members have enjoyed the years painting glasses and we hope people enjoy viewing the paintings in the exhibition".

Violet added that most of the paintings which are on view are for sale and would make a lovely Christmas present.

She added: "I'd like to thank everyone who has helped the Arts Club over the past 17 years that the club has been running, it's very much appreciated".
