THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures have been sent to us by one of our exiles, Jock McAllister, formerly of Ballingry, who stays in Warwickshire.

Jock said: "I have noticed online that many folk who left the area years ago have been sending in old photos and I have some of Glencraig, ranging from a football team in the pre-First World War era to some of the village in the 1960s as he coal industry was running down but the buings were still there."

His selection shows the Glencraig Rovers team of 1912-13 who were winners of the Hoy Cup in 1909. There are two of the village being surrounded by bings, including the school with huge mounds towering above it. The other picture shows the Jolly Beggars of South Glencraig, which Jock thinks was taken in the late 1940s.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane feature send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
