A LOCHGELLY man broke into a woman’s home by smashing a window, climbing inside and stealing her property.

The woman was not at home when it was targeted by 20-year-old robber Jamie Napier.

He stole a television and other items as well as leaving his blood stains on the floor and curtains.

Napier, of North Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 10 he broke into a house in Chapel Street and stole a television, two hold-all bags and a sound bar.

The Court was told some of the stolen property was handed in to the police station and the television was later found near the woman’s home.

Napier is already on a community payback order for assault.

Defence solicitor, Gordon Martin, said: “The property was returned to the woman with the help of his mother and his girlfriend.”

Sheriff Chris Shead called for reports but warned Napier that custody was the likely sentence given his record. Bail was granted and Napier will be sentenced on January 9.
