HILL of Beath is this year to have a Christmas tree featured in the centre of the village for the first time.
The new community council has been working on a whole host of possible activities for expanding Hill of Beath and on Friday December 2 the first Christmas tree the village has had will be switched on.
There will also be entertainment for those who go along to the switch-on starting at 4pm.
Said the community council's Ann Park: "While other communities have been getting a lot of support over recent years we have been kind of forgotten.
"However, hopefully that is changing and us having a Christmas tree in the community garden is a great festive feature for the village."
Ann added that an old folks treat is planned for the afternoon of Saturday December 22 and the backing of the Little Raith Wind Farm Fund has been a great boost.
