COWDENBEATH and Burntisland Shipyard will tonight kick-off this year’s Fife Cup competition.
Of course the same two clubs concluded the Fife Cup last season when they met in the final at Recreation Park, Burntisland.
Kelty Hearts and Raith Rovers will also meet shortly in the other 1st round tie.
Cowden manager Gary Bollan has a full squad available for the match with no league game scheduled for this Saturday.
Admission prices are just £5 (adult)/£3 (concessions) so why not go along and get behind the team as they compete in one of Scotland’s oldest competitions.
The match day programme will be a special Fife Cup edition and includes features such as ‘Burntisland Ballers’; a review of last season’s competition; ‘Fife’s Finest’ which details every Fifer to have been capped by Scotland at full, league, ‘B’, under-23 and wartime international levels, ‘The Founding Father of the Fifeshire Football Association’ – the story of the Brown family of Dunfermline; ‘Fexit’ – when the Fife FA made its own dramatic exit; and much more.
