A LOCHGELLY man admitted making indecent images of children being abused, Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard on Tuesday.

Former school janitor James Allan, was the Court was told, found with 30 abuse images including two of Category A status.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of making indecent images and permitting them to be taken.

Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist heard from fiscal depute, Sarah Lumsden, that in August 2017, officers from the Cyber Intelligence Unit had received intelligence that an indecent image of a child had been accessed from accused's home.

A search warrant was obtained for Allan's address in Lochgelly and a computer was taken on which 30 indecent images were found. The age range of the children were girls between 12 and 14.

Sheriff Gilchrist deferred sentence on Allan until November 21 and ordered him to sign the sex offenders register.
