BENARTY Heritage Preservation Group is holding a special open day on Thursday November 1.
The event will be held in the Benarty Community Centre starting at 7p.m.
BHPG's Tony Zimny said: "We have been working on capturing as much Benarty historical data as we can and we will have on display a lot of material on interesting parts of local history."
The group will present their work and launch their new publications including “1918 edition of Below the Sleeping Giant”, “Benarty Patriots” and the Benarty 1911 census.
Guest speaker, Ian Chalmers, will give a talk entitled “Slavery in Scottish Mining” and David Blane, of BHPG, will give a talk entitled “The Stewart family of Lochore’s participation in WW1”
Tea and coffee and a buffet will be offered. All welcome. Doors open 6.45 p.m.
