BEATH pupils joined other young people from Queen Anne, Inverkeithing, Woodmill, Dunfermline HS and St Columba’s RCHS, to enjoy Great Britain’s Davis Cup match vs Uzbekistan.
Josh Logan – S5 and Jamie Ewart – S4 represented Beath and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They were lucky enough to witness a 5 set thriller where eventual winner Dan Evans beat Dennis Istomin 7-6, 4-6, 0-6, 6-4, 7-5 in 4 hours and 14 minutes. Great Britain went on to win the tie 3-1.
An experience the pupils will never forget and has inspired them to take up a new leadership role within the secondary school through Active Schools.
Jamie is going to become the Competitive School Sport Photographer/ Reporter and Josh will join a wider Young Leaders Group looking at new initiatives to engage more Beath pupil in extra-curricular activities.
