A SHOPLIFTER targeted two businesses in Cowdenbeath town centre and later tried to avoid arrest by giving a false name.
Appearing from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was 33-year-old Michael Reddington.
Reddington, formerly of Factory Road, Cowdenbeath, is now staying at the Oasis Project, Kirkcaldy.
He admitted on May 15, at Morrisons, Raith Centre, Cowdenbeath, he stole a quantity of meat and that on July 24 at Boots the Chemist, High Street, he stole two electric razors.
Reddington also admitted that on September 23 at Aldi, Stenhouse Street, he pretended to police officers that he was Sean Reddington and attempted to pervert the course of justice.
The court heard that Reddington is already on a community payback order.
Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports. Bail was granted and Reddington will be sentenced on November 7.
