AN attack by vandals has forced the management of Lochore Meadows Country Park to shut the new Willie Clarke Centre today.
It appears that the unwelcome visitors attacked the new facility during the hours of darkness overnight.
In a post on the park's Facebook page park boss Ian Laing reported: "We regret to inform customers that the Willie Clarke Centre will not be open on Tuesday October 16.
"In the early hours of this morning a number of windows have been smashed and until I am confident that there is no danger to the public a short term closure is inevitable. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause".
The news will have shocked the people of Benarty who have seen the new centre be really busy since it opened at the start of the year.
It has been well respected by everyone in the area but this news will be upsetting for many.
