THE Maxwell Community Centre will be officially opened this week.
The official opening of the new Maxwell Centre, in Stenhouse Street, Cowdenbeath, will take place on Friday October 19 with Executive Spokesperson, Councillor Judy Hamilton and Cowdenbeath Area Convener, Councillor Linda Erskine, performing ceremonial speeches.
The event will take place at 11am next Friday when the facility, which has been operating now since the beginning of February, will be ceremonially opened.
A variety of local organisations have made the Maxwell Centre their home now and the £2.8m project is now running at full steam ahead.
The Maxwell facility replaced the Broad Street Centre which closed last winter.
