TROUBLE “erupted” at a job centre with a man shouting and swearing at a woman then challenging her partner to “fight it out like men”.

The incident led to David Wilson, 30, of Lochgelly Road, Cowdenbeath, appearing in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 1 last year, at the Employment Services Agency, Pit Road, Cowdenbeath, he acted in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting and swearing at the woman, and challenged her partner to fight.

Depute fiscal Alistair McDermid said that at 3.30pm, Wilson and the complainer were both at the job centre for appointments.

“An argument erupted between them and he was making comments to her such as ‘fat slut’,” added the depute.

When the woman went in for her appointment, Wilson continued in his belligerent behaviour challenging her partner, also there for an appointment, to a fight.

Wilson said:“Come on get out the car. Let’s fight it out like men.”

Defence solicitor James Moncrieff said there was “bad blood” between his client and the woman.

“He bumped into her at the job centre and they were both shouting at each other for a period of time,” he added.

Sheriff Jill Martin-Brown deferred sentence on Wilson until March 27 for him to be of good behaviour.
