IF you’ve always wanted to strut your stuff in a smash hit musical – and all that jazz – now’s your opportunity.

Kelty Musical Association have gained the rights to present the Fife premiere of Kander and Ebb’s famous show, Chicago.

It will run in May 2019 in the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, and rehearsals start soon!

If you have always fancied doing the Cell Block Tango alongside notorious murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, then this is your big chance.

There will be an open evening on Sunday October 7 in St Ninian’s Church Hall, Allan Crescent, Dunfermline, from 6 to 9pm, where you are welcome to come along and learn about the show.

Many people will remember the movie of Chicago, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger, which won the Oscar for best picture in 2002.

The show holds the record for the longest running American musical in the West End and has won honours galore over the years. And who can ever forget Bob Fosse’s famous choreography?

With Gary Gibb as director, Lynne Gibb as choreographer and Ross Hamilton as musical director, this reunites the successful team who brought you Kelty’s Spamalot and Jesus Christ Superstar.

This is a show with a great emphasis on dance, glamour and the cult and corruption of celebrity.

So whether you have years of stage experience or would love to do your first musical, feel free to attend the opening night.
