ONFife’s Comedy Café returns on Friday and Saturday with three comedians, one compere, one venue and one amazing price.

These intimate nights feature some of the top names in comedy with a selection of local comics appearing on the line ups too.

There are two gigs today(Friday), at Rothes Halls in Glenrothes and the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, and two tomorrow, at the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline and the Lochgelly Centre.

Krystal Evans is a UK-based American who has “come over here for the free healthcare and to take British comedians’ jobs”. This year, she came second in Monkey Barrel’s Top Banana of the Year competition in Edinburgh.

Marc Jennings provides a caustic look at the world from his perspective as a working class Glaswegian with an intellectual bent. A regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News, he was hand-picked for 2017’s BBC New Comedy Award and is a two-time Scottish Comedian of the Year finalist.

Danny Deegan is also a writer and actor who has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began performing in 2003. His tales of mischief and the characters he creates have kept audiences enthralled, he’s also a master at dealing with a tough crowd.

MC Hammersmith (a.k.a. Will Naameh) is an award-winning improvisational comedian and the “world’s leading freestyle rapper to ever emerge from the ghetto of middle class white west London”. Now based in Edinburgh, he performs across the UK and internationally.

Raymond Mearns is one of the UK’s busiest circuit comics and can be seen regularly performing at venues all across the country.

Described by Frankie Boyle as “a genuine improvisational genius”, Raymond has also appeared in film and TV, with roles in Rab C Nesbitt, River City, Limmy’s Show and Legit.

Fifer Ross Leslie began comedy in 2012 and is now a regular at every comedy club in Scotland where he performs as a main support act, sometime host and sometime headliner. He has written material for BBC Radio Scotland and was a finalist in the Scottish Comedian Of The Year in 2014 and 2017.

Stuart McPherson is making a name for himself with his own brand of dry and acerbic humour. A regular on BBC 1 Scotland’s ‘Scot Squad’, he made the finals of So You Think You’re Funny? and Scottish Comedian of the Year and was voted Best Newcomer at the Scottish Comedy Awards in 2016.

The tickets are priced £10 (plus £1 booking fee). The Comedy Café will also take place on the last weekend of October and November.

The two hour shows start at 7.30pm.
