THE first residents have moved into Lochgelly's newest housing development.

Construction work at The Avenues site has been ongoing for many months now, but the Easy Living Homes project is starting to house its first residents, who have occupied two of the bungalows in the project.

The development will see over 100 homes built on the field which runs up The Avenue into the eastern fringe of Lochgelly.

Janice Robinson and her husband were the first to move into their new home at 49 The Avenues after moving from Rosyth.

Said Janice: "I have been very impressed with our new home and also the very friendly atmosphere that Lochgelly has about it.

"Our house is beautifully finished and it has been a very good move for us."

Frank Kimber and his wife were the first to buy a home at The Avenues, but due to delays at their former home in Dunfermline they have just moved in and they are settling in well.

Said Frank: "It has been a very good move for the bungalow is perfect for us and superbly finished.

"The view we get from front and back of our new house is excellent and we are really pleased with our Lochgelly experience."

The Easy Living Homes development is a mixture of bungalows, and three, four and five bedroom detached villas and also semi-detached homes.

Karen Cameron, Easy Living's sales liaison manager, said: "It has been a challenging period for all concerned bringing The Avenues development to fruition and we would like to wish all our clients every happiness in their new homes and thank them for their patience during delays we have experienced.

"We are extremely proud of our product and the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from our valued clients at The Avenues."

Cowdenbeath estate agents, Delmor, have been working with Easy Living to promote the site and Angela Lawrie said: "Delmor are delighted with the finished product at The Avenues in Lochgelly.

"From our initial investigative discussions on the house types, to the pricing of the properties Easy Living have been wonderful to deal with.

"They have built homes that meet the demand for the area, at prices that homebuyers can afford.

"They have exceeded our expectations on build, quality and finishings".

Angela added: "It is our opinion that the new build homes that Easy Living are building are unrivalled for value and finishings in Fife. Demand remains high. "The first phase has sold out from architects drawings.

"We are delighted the completion of the homes is moving at a fast pace now".

The site is going up fast now and the development can be expected to increase the population of Lochgelly by upwards of 500 people.
