THIS week's Down Memory Lane collection comes from Harry Sutherland, who now lives in London.

A former Ballingry man he has had these pictures for many years and felt they were something that people would like to see and for some rekindle memories.

So he was delighted to send them north for people to enjoy.

The four shots he has sent include Capeldrae Court, one of the streets that was a jewel in the crown as Ballingry was constructed in the 1950s. There is also a shot of early work being done on the township.

There is a picture, which has on the back of it the date 1946 of 'the Cleekum Inn,' which is set back off the road. There is today the Cleikum Inn, in Ballingry.

And there is a cracking shot of Glencraig at a time when the village colliery was in full production. Note the tram stopped to pick up passengers.

If you have an old photograph you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane section send it to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take it to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
