THE event to mark an incredible career for Hill of Beath Hawthorn by Darrin Wright was a huge success at Keirs Park on Sunday.
A Haws Legends side took on a Dunfermline Athletic Legends XI in the testimonial game for Darrin who has made 483 appearances for the club in a 15 years connection with Keirs Park.
The now player/assistant manager of the new East of Scotland League side, joined a Haws Legends side, which contained some of the stars of the side which won the Scottish Junior Cup almost 30 years ago, and has seen the club compete at a very high level in the junior ranks.
A crowd of around 300 was in attendance for the match which the Haws Legends won 4-2.
We will have a full report on the big event with pictures next week.
