SOME great work has been going in cleaning up litter in Cardenden and an appeal has been made to people to think before carelessly discarding paper and cartons.
The Fife Council's Parks, Streets and Open Spaces team hit the area last midweek and made a huge difference to the look of the land near the shops.
The team hope that people will think before discarding rubbish and they are being backed by Mid Scotland and Fife MSP, Alex Rowley.
He said: "People will see the council has done a great job of cleaning this area up at the shops in Cardenden but the message must be that every time someone drops litter, it costs others money to have it cleaned up.
"The key element is we must all take a pride in our areas and stop the littering and mess that causes a problem in more places than just Cardenden".
