TWO major road upgrade schemes are to be carried out on the local roads network in the coming months costing more than £350,000.
Lumphinnans Road, in Lochgelly, is to be tackled from Motion Street to Buller Street, while Woodend Road in Cardenden, is also to be resurfaced.
Ian Jones, of the roads networks management team, told Cowdenbeath Area Committee, that the improvement programme had been drawn up through assessment and prioritisation of schemes identified through consultations meetings with councillors and suggestions from community councils and the public.
He also reported that it was recommended that the B981 between Cardenden and Cluny be re-surfaced.
Also to be tackled will be North Street, Lochgelly (£90,000); and Moss-side Road Phase 2 (£120,000) and McLeod Drive (£120,000) in Cowdenbeath.
The roads programme was agreed by the Area Committee.
