THE cast of Fame missed a whole week of rehearsals thanks to the Beast from the East but they are well on course to put on another top class show.

Lochgelly Youth’s cast have three rehearsals this week to make up for time lost to the snowy weather and director, Liam Nardone, is confident that the cast can put on an even better show than last year’s Hairspray.

The show goes on a three night run at Lochgelly Centre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 28 to 30.

Hairspray attracted two full houses last September and that made the young company to go for a three night run this time and already the Friday night is approaching a sell out.

Said the Lochgelly High School, pupil who has really taken to the director’s role: “It was a bit of a blow to have the snow ruin our plans a couple of weeks ago but we are doing three this week but I have no worries about the way the cast has taken to Fame.

“From the first rehearsal the members of the cast have shown a real attraction for this show and I think they will be absolutely ready for the opening night.”

Liam said that they were still looking to sell out the Wednesday and Thursday nights if possible and tickets are available from members of Lochgelly Youth Theatre or the Lochgelly Centre (01592 583303).

They are stepping up their preparations on the run up to opening night.

Added Liam: “Everyone feels very comfortable with this show and every section of the cast looks to be looking at being at their best over the three nights.

“We will be working hard over the last couple of weeks to ensure that we can give the audiences a truly great show.”

This is LYT’s second show but they have a Spring Concert first to put on this Thursday, March 15, at Lochgelly High School which is a family night the cast will all be involved in and while there will be a lot of singing and dancing their will be nothing from Fame!
