A LOCHGELLY man was caught driving his dad’s van when he was three times over the limit.
Jordan Wright, 27, of Andrew Street, previously admitted that on September 2 in Bank Street, Lochgelly, he drove with excess alcohol, 66 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
The case at Dunfermline Sheriff Court had been adjourned after the Crown moved for forfeiture of the van.
Wright returned to court with proof that the vehicle belonged to his father and the forfeiture motion was withdrawn.
However, Sheriff Richard McFarlane pointed out this was Wright’s second drink-driving offence.
“When I see a second drink-drive conviction then the drink driving rehabilitation scheme does not seem to have worked,” he added.
He deferred sentence again for reports until November 8.
