After Saturday's Pipeband competition at Lochore Meadows, the Highland regiment stopped at the memorial garden to pay their respect to Peter Johnstone.
The former Glencraig miner was a stalwart for Celtic Football Club and respects were paid at his special memorial garden opposite Ore Park, Glencraig.
Kevin Payne, member of Benarty Events Group, said: "The committee would like to thank Pipe Major Colin Simpson and lone piper Daniel Johnstone, for what can only be described as a moving service to the former footballer, miner and soldier.
"We would also like to thank James Fotheringham who managed to catch most of it as it happened."
