CROSSGATES ice cream shop Divito's was caught up in flash flooding when water poured into the store yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Torrential rain and thunder storms over the past 24 hours have caused upheaval across West Fife, with staff at the popular confectioners left to mop up.
Jasmin Westwood, a worker in Divito's, said: "Flooding happens once in a blue moon here but water managed to get into the front of the shop.
"Thankfully it's just ruined the carpets and not the stock."
Many readers reported flooding problems in Main Street in Crossgates with one commenting on Facebook that they 'needed a canoe' to get round the village.
Flash floods were also spotted around Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline and back roads including the B914 from Lathalmond to Steelend and the B912 from Kingseat to Halbeath, where water was building up at the bottom of the hill.
