KIRKCALDY and Cowdenbeath constituency MP, Roger Mullin, has held discussions with senior officials at The Royal Bank of Scotland regarding the announced closure of branches in Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath and Dalgety Bay.
The closure plans of the High Street RBS branch in High Street, Cowdenbeath, has been condemned by local councillors, MSPs and MPs.
Commenting on the talks, Roger Mullin said: “I held a very frank and open discussion with senior representatives of The Royal Bank of Scotland. I expressed my disquiet at the decision to close branches in my constituency and indicated that I will represent the interests of my constituents in this matter.
"I also asked to be supplied, as soon as possible, with details of any mobile banking service which at the moment has not been fully planned. It has been agreed that we will have further discussions at a future date”.
