ALDI want to extend the Sunday opening hours of their Cowdenbeath store.
The outlet in Stenhouse Street opened in September 2015 and the firm have asked Fife Council to allow them to trade for longer.
Aldi is open from 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and they now want those same hours on Sunday too.
Currently it's open from 9am to 7pm on Sundays.
A statement on their behalf said: "Due to the present restrictions at the established Cowdenbeath store, Aldi are therefore seeking to vary the existing condition to trade for an extra hour in the morning and an extra three hours in the evening on a Sunday, to meet consumer expectations within the local area.
"The proposal would help to support employment levels at this store, by increasing the number of staff required to operate under the extended hours.
"This will be of additional benefit to the local area."
