A GROUP of nine Beath High School pupils attended the latest Cyber Security lectures which have been running since 2012 in universities across Scotland. These lectures are aimed at school pupils with the intention of inspiring a new generation into careers in cyber security and the wider digital sector.
The lectures that the Beath pupils attended addressed the three themes of Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking and Data Security
This year the lectures, provided by industry experts, brought the subject area to life in an educational but fun session and were enjoyed by all who attended.
The group felt it was worth noting that the Government is currently spending 1.9 billion pounds building a Cyber Security Army in Britain and they are offering starting salaries of £28,000 to counter the new threats of cyber terrorism.
A great career opportunity for the young Beath computer experts.
