SENTENCE was deferred this week on a Lochore man who acted in an abusive manner after he had stopped taking prescribed drugs.

Scott Walker (38), of Ivanhoe Avenue, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court after earlier admitting that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and uttered threats of violence at a property in Lochore on December 13.

The offence was committed while Walker was on bail.

Walker's defence agent said her client had mental health difficulties and had been diagnosed with a non verbal learning disability.

Just prior to the incident, he had "abruptly stopped" taking medication he had been given.

"He cannot remember anything about the incident," added the agent.

Sheriff Charles Macnair warned Walker he should not suddenly stop taking medication.

He deferred sentence for three months for him to be of good behaviour and to get supplementary reports.

"If you are of good behaviour, it may be that some kind of non-custodial disposal may be available," he told him.
