THE fundraising efforts of a group of volunteers in Cowdenbeath and Crossgates will help orphaned children in Eastern Europe.
Pictured are the Trinity Church Cafe volunteers presenting a cheque for the magnificent sum of £760 to Acorn Aid (Scotland) after a recent fundraising day.
Mark Mitchell, Chairperson of Acorn Aid (Scotland) thanked the ladies for their hard work and told them that the monies raised would assist local families and also the children of an orphanage in Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Acorn Aid (Scotland) method of operation: provides: the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health; and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
