Two teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Lochgelly on Saturday night.
The males, aged 19 and 16, are expected to appear before Dunfermline Sheriff Court tomorrow.
The incident happened shortly before 9:55pm when a 22-year-old man was assaulted outside the Premier Stores on Francis Street and then in Knockhill Close.
A cordon was put in place at the scene while forensic officers examined the area.
The injured man was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where he remains in a stable condition.
