FOLLOWING the launch of the CLoCK Street Pastors initiative the local group are set for the work ahead.

A training schedule has been set in place, training that will include a wide range of issues.

It is seen as being imperative that the volunteers are prepared for the needs of Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath.

In addition, there is a need for fund raising to cover the cost of the equipment taken out during the evening patrols. One such fundraising event will take place on Saturday 8th November at the Beath and Cowdenbeath North Church. It is planned to be a very fun filled day providing both action and bargains. If you are into Line dancing, Zhumba and jazz, there will be something for you as you share the dancing and the music through the day.

If you like to be pampered, there is something for you. If you just like a coffee and a cake then there is something for you. If you want to find bargains for Christmas, then there will also be something for you.

Liz Rae, the Secretary of CLoCK, who will be organising this event, said “This is not meant to be just another coffee morning. The full day will reveal that there is more to this event that.” More details of this will be shared in the Times as the day gets nearer. In the meanwhile tickets can be obtained from the committee members of CLoCK.
