HAVING starred in Coronation Street for over 25 years, Sean Wilson has gone on to become an award-winning cheese maker doing cookery demonstrations at food festivals all over the UK and Europe.

Now on Friday March 20 he will be at Dunfermline's Carnegie Hall.

Sean Wilson joined the cast of Coronation Street as Martin Platt. The character was 18, had left school and taken a job at the cafe managed by Gail Tilsley. Five years later, Gail was a widow and he became involved with her romantically. They married, divorced, and in between he became father to David Platt. He has said the main reason for leaving the serial in 2005 was because producers informed him Martin had to re-marry Gail.

The evening includes film clips of his varied acting career and his TV series, The Great Northern Cookbook, and episodes on James Martins’ Saturday Kitchen, plus Sean talks about his varied career, cooking some food and taking a Q&A session from the audience.
