THE 2020 season of shows from local organisations will be underway in the spring and the Kirkcaldy Gilbert & Sullivan group will soon be working hard for their show in March.
Kirkcaldy Gilbert & Sullivan Society presents The Gondoliers on Thursday March 5 at the Adam Smith Theatre.
The Gondoliers has the usual topsy-turvy plot that Gilbert and Sullivan are famous for.
The show opens with the maidens of Venice in love with two Gondoliers, Marco and Giuseppe, who have come to choose their brides.
They all live happily ever after...….if only things were that simple!! One of the gondoliers was stolen away as a baby and is already married and a king no less, but which one?! The men leave their brides behind and travel to Barataria to find out. The show is filled with wonderful music and a few surprises...…..
