RUBBER Stamp Promotions, from Lochgelly, have booked one of the UK’s top Jam tribute bands to play Wee Jimmies Cowdenbeath, on Friday 6th February.

The Underground Jam (top left) will be playing all The Jam’s hits and more at this one.

Support on the night comes from Fife based Urgency X UK(above). Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £7. These can be purchased from Wee Jimmies or Ticketweb.

The Underground Jam are now considered to be one of the UK’s top tribute bands. Forming in 2003 and playing all over the UK, they capture the authentic raw energy and sound of The Jam’s early punk roots, in addition to playing a full range of songs from The Jam’s later back catalogue. As well as playing all the hits (such as In The City, Going Underground, Town Called Malice, Eton Rifles & The Modern World), the band play many album tracks and B sides. Guaranteed to please both the avid Jam fan as well as those only familiar with their chart material.

Urgency X UK have roots in bands from the very early eighties to present.

The current Urgency X UK members seem to have travelled full circle, as they started out with the “Troops of Tomorrow” right at the very start. They then changed to “The Troops” after a line up change, and other side projects. The group members are Rab Watson-Guitar + vocals, Eddie Couser - Bass Paul Slater - Drums + vocals and Stevie Richardson - Guitar.

Urgency X UK continue to work to the same punk ethos that they started with way back in the day, albeit slightly better musicians now having had 30 years practice!

They have played a lot of Fife venues and are looking forward to getting a big Cowdenbeath welcome at Wee Jimmies.
