FIFE Cultural Trust is delighted to announce the return of Stuart MacBride, one of Scotland’s most acclaimed Tartan Noir writers, to Kirkcaldy Galleries on Saturday 17th January. Stuart is one of Fife’s favourite authors, and he is returning to the Kingdom to promote his new book, ‘The Missing and the Dead’. This novel features Logan McRae, hero of MacBride’s No.1 bestsellers ‘Close to the Bone’ and ‘A Song for the Dying’.

Stuart last appeared at the Galleries with local crime writer Russell D McLean at the sell-out Beer, Book and Burger event in October as part of Book Week Scotland.

Stuart’s return to Fife comes thanks to Waterstones Kirkcaldy, and he will be talking about his latest book, ‘The Missing and the Dead’. Following the career of (now Acting Detective Inspector) Logan McRae, the only thing certain about his latest work is that not everyone will get out of rural Aberdeenshire alive!

Yvonne Melville, Service Development Team Leader, Libraries (Adults) at FCT said, “We are delighted to welcome Stuart back to Kirkcaldy Galleries. He is always hugely entertaining, and his stories will have the whole audience in stitches!” Tickets are priced at £5, and are available from www.onfife.com, any of Fife Cultural Trust box offices or libraries, or from Waterstones, 175 High Street, Kirkcaldy. Ticket holders will also receive a £3 discount on any book bought on the night.
