ON Friday Dunfermlline’s Carnegie Hall paid tribute to one of the greatest British acts of the swinging 60s.

The Music of the Hollies is a celebration of The Hollies – the Manchester group who had more hits than The Beatles!

The Hollywood Bees performed their tribute to The Music of the Hollies, focusing on material from 1962 to 1968 – the Allan Clarke and Graham Nash years, which many would consider to be the group’s heyday.

This acclaimed two hour show tracked the influences of the likes of Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers and Bob Dylan on the sound of The Hollies, and includes a tribute to Crosby Stills and Nash, the immediate post-Hollies project of Graham Nash.

The Hollywood Bees play all the big hits, from Just One Look and I’m Alive to He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother and Jennifer Eccles – and much, much more!

The members of The Hollywood Bees have learned their craft in a succession of leading bands, having played alongside The Hollies, The Moody Blues and The Searchers.

Talented musicians one and all, the band are regularly acclaimed as Britain’s finest tribute act, and are no strangers to standing ovations – you really find it hard to believe you’re not in the presence of the real thing!
