PETER Powers is back at the Pavilion Theatre for four weekends only with his Hypnotic Frolics every Friday and Saturday from 8th to 30th August.

And we are giving Times readers a chance to win tickets for this great show.

Sketches include but are not limited to: Eating Raw Onions; Getting Chased by Sharks; Invisible People; Bad Smells and this August Peter’s subject could also be in the running for the Commonwealth Games! This will definitely be “The Funniest Show in Town!”.

Friday at 7.30pm is “Family Fun Night” and is suitable for all the family.

Saturday at 7.30pm is “Saucy Saturday” which is aimed at the slightly older audience.

Saturday at Midnight is “Madness at Midnight” and is strictly for over 18’s as anything could happen!

This will be Peter’s 25th year at The Pavilion Theatre, his first performance was in February 1989 and the same day he became a father with the birth of his son. Peter has just completed a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand and has recorded two new pilot shows for TV in Holland and is negotiating a new series of shows based on them.

The new shows see him using hypnosis to help people overcome their phobias, fears and chronic pain, a departure from the revenge comedy series he made for Dutch TV three years ago.

He was chosen by Coca Cola to launch Coke Zero in Europe.

This involved performing at a theatre in the town of Ghent, Belgium, and incorporating a taste test into his show.

Hypnotised subjects would start to break-dance if they detected the flavour of the famous brand. The resulting advert and a short behind the scenes documentary have received well over a million hits on the internet.

We have five family tickets up for grabs for Friday 8th August at 7.30pm. To get one of them.......
